Location: Colchester United Football Club

Salary: 23,000- 27,000 plus an additional 1,000 starting bonus after 3 months

Job Description:

Additionally, upon successfully completing three months in this position, you will be rewarded with a fantastic 1,000 bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of our catering business, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and manager a team of talented colleagues, inspiring them to achieve outstanding results and meet key targets.
  • Monitor and manage staffing levels for each function, optimising efficiency and maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Showcase your versatility by working in various front-of-house areas, supporting the team wherever needed to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Proactively plan and prepare for upcoming events, minimising setup costs and maximising customer satisfaction.
  • Gather valuable feedback from customers after each function and collaborate with relevant departments to drive continuous improvement in our catering business.
  • Manage and address any performance issues or shortcomings of front-of-house staff in collaboration with the Head of Catering, promoting a positive and professional work environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in fire alarm procedures, stadium evacuations, and the necessary protocols for securing the stadium.
  • Take responsibility for stock management during events, adhering to established procedures and ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant back-of-house area, upholding our strict Health and Safety standards.
  • As a trusted key holder, oversee stadium opening and closing procedures, occasionally working independently.

Personal Specification:

  • Proven experience in successfully leading, managing, and motivating teams.
  • Flexibility is key - be prepared to adapt to varying shift patterns based on the needs of our catering business, including the ability to work longer shifts at short notice.
  • Punctuality and impeccable personal presentation are essential.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Mindful of cost control measures and resource optimisation.
  • Strong awareness of Health and Safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues and customers.

Hours of Work:
Full Time - 40 hours per week

Salary:

23,000- 27,000 per year, plus an additional 1,000 starting bonus after 3 months
